A few of my "Must Haves"

This is my make up collection. No, I don't have cases and drawers full of products. I have this,a small collection of what I consider "must haves"

Let me start by saying,i'm a stay at home mom. I have 3 amazing, precious, smart young men I get to raise. I also have a hard working, husband who takes care of his family. We're not rich,or even well off by any means,so buying a new product every day, week or even month is out of the question. This blog is about showing you how to create beautiful looks using what you have.  Most of my make up was purchased while my husband was in the Army, money was better so I was able to buy more expensive products. Now that he's out,I shop at drug stores =) Either way, creating fun, romantic, simple or over the top looks can be achieved using what you have! You don't have to be rich, and you don't have to be an expert.

If you're just starting out there are a few "basics" I suggest buying. These are,in my opinion essential to your make up kit.

1.Eyeshadow primer: In this case Two Faced Shadow Insurance. Primers are meant to do just that, prime the eye. It creates a smooth surface for the eyeshadow,it also prevents creasing by putting a barrier between your oily lid and the shadow. Primers help your eyeshadow last longer, look better, and helps the color POP.

If you're on a budget,I suggest buying an eye shadow base. In this case,NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in MILK. An eyeshadow base will make your eyeshadow POP,but it wont prevent creasing. Apply concealer to you eyelid to provide a smooth surface and oil barrier before you apply your base.

Primers and Bases are the difference between the shadow on the left, and the shadow on the right. (after 4 hours the swatch on the right is still on my hand)

2.A good brush set: These are the 3 I own. The first if from MAC,I got it from Nordstrom for about $40.00. The Second is from Sephora,I got it for around $40.00 and the 3rd is by Juicy Couture that I bought from Sephora on sale for $30.00. Obviously there are inexpensive brush sets you can buy from drug stores. Just PLEASE invest in brushes,it makes all the difference in the world.

3. A neutral Make up pallet. You can create dozens of beautiful looks with ONE pallet, neutral colors also work great with any skin tone. This is the pallet I have from Bed Head Cosmetics.
